Error message

Reset password does not work

The "Request new password" dialog doesn't work. It asks a CAPTCHA question "Do you like SPAM?" Obvious answer is "No", but no matter what variation I used, all I got was "Unable to send email. Contact the site administrator if the problem persists."

I then tried to contact staff (left navigation menu), for each staff there was some personal information, but no way to actually send a message. Now that I'm logged in, I see there is an option to send a private message, but I wonder if this is *because* I'm logged in; when not logged in, I distinctly remember this *not* being available.

Also, the CAPTCHA instructions say "Each character is shown twice, but only type it in once". That is not the case; when I type in the box, it only shows one character per keystroke.

I solved the issue by a circuitous route: I contacted Techiem via LinkedIn. I've done this once before with him, and we both knew the drill. He contacted admins and obtained a reset password, which he passed on to me.

Did I miss something obvious in the "Request new password" dialog?

You missed nothing, it does not work even for me.
