Friday the 13th! OoOoOohhh, so spooky!

Triskaidekaphobia is a fear of the number 13. The origins of this fear are kind of unclear. Coupled with the unluckiness of 13 is the belief that Friday is unlucky day of the week, hence the superstitiously bad news day, Friday the 13. Best to just stay in bed.

I like to read. Just about everything, really, but I have a sincere admiration for all that is cheesy too. Most often (well, perhaps not in the modern day) that is called pulp fiction and it was some what of a blanket term for types of fiction (horror, mysteries and thrillers, all that good stuff) as well as a literal definition.

It has been very quiet around here these last few weeks.

What has prevented you from posting?

A.) I want to post but am currently trapped under a heavy object.

Window 10 updates are a nightmare for me, they sometimes totally skewer things, and settings I have fine tuned over time.

This method requires diligence; regular checkng and manually removing the updates.

Go to Drive C .... Windows .... SoftwareDistribution ... Download

Delete the downloads or store them elsewhere.

A very, very brief shout out.

We've been watching the show Dark Matter on the SyFy channel for a while now. It is a pretty good science fiction-y/drama type of show set in the future several centuries from now and takes place on a traveling space ship. For season 3, episode 9 they did a time travel bit. Time travel is pretty hokey and not a favorite story line for me, but eh, I'm up for it.
