Oh, I've been around but never left the continent (North America). I've been as far North as Dawson Creek, BC (mile zero for the Alaska highway), as far South as Florida (a couple times, once to Orlando and once to Ft. Lauterdale). As far West as British Columbia (a few hours short of reaching the coast) and as far East as New Brunswick (possibly Nova Scotia... not sure as I was pretty young at the time, but we were at the coast there for sure... my Dad bought fresh lobsters off a boat).

What's the farthest trip (away from home) you've ever taken?

That would be when I went to the US. Had a blast there.

Hmm. Both. On some days I prefer to play Killzone all night. On others I like the warmth of the day.

Not seen any new flowers yet, in fact here there aren't any wild flowers in my surroundigs at the time (it's winter ).

Do you believe in Karma?

A: Can't say that I do since I don't believe in reincarnation. However I might be able to believe in such a thing as that we are rewarded in this life for good deeds. But that of course is not kharma.

I belive in reincarnation in a sense, that when we die we (that is to say, our souls) become a part of everything thats alive. I also belive that animals have souls, but they wander as "ghosts" in a sense, looking at everything.... kinda hard to explain. I don't truly belong to any religion but I follow the Baha'i Faith (which I'm registered as being part of), because they set good examples to live by and don't beat up on other religions.

I think I should be clearer...I didn't really mean "karma" as part of any religious doctrine, but more along the idea of "Do unto others ..." or more to the point "What goes around comes around..." Do we have a free ride to be jerks to each other with no repercusions, or do our deeds, either good or bad come back and reflect on us? I guess that is what I meant by the term "Karma". So I guess that is still my question, but in a re-phrased form.

I guess pagan or wicca...I believe that nature is spiritual and that all life is connected on a deep level. I also believe in the concept of a soul and that humans are not the only ones with souls. I was brought up as a Catholic, but I have rejected organized religion (No disrespect intended to those who have an organized faith)

I'm and Agnostic Atheist.

I believe that there are some things which are unknowable to humans, and the existance or non-existance of God is one of those things... proof is not possible (given the limitations of the human experience), therefore I'm an Agnostic.

There's also a matter of personal belief (without proof...). I cannot make myself believe something as important as the nature of the Universe (or universes... :roll: ) without some semblance of proof... I just can't. Something is written in some really old books is not proof... neither is the "lots of people beileve it, so it must be the Truth" argument. I live my life relying on my own rational thinking mind to guide my way, and to purposefully delude myself into a belief system that erodes my control over my own most valueable life's tool, my faculty of reason, I would be killing a part of myself. A part I like very much. Therefore I do not personnaly believe in God, and I'm an Atheist (of the "weak atheist" variety... not be confused with Anti-Theist, which I'm not).

Kathy just beat me to the punch, so I'll answer her question too...

I like the concept of "karma" / the "Golden Rule" (you know... the "do unto others" thing you mentioned), and it is a valid and consistent moral principle (IMHO). Treat people the way you want to be treated... This is an excellent guiding principle for social interaction. If you always take this perspective then you also have a strong starting point for a sense of justice.

Whether there is something in the Universe that will reward you for following this principle, I would say no... but acting morally can be rewarding on its own (fewer regrets, less guilt...).

{I do! Everynight I go to bed with 3 males too bad for me they are 2 cats and a dog....the only other "girl" in the house is my other cat, Sweet Jane, and she stays down in the cellar.}

my cat sneaks around at night - she's black, so I can't see her - but I know she's there...

Yes. Helping people is nice.
And I do believe in the "do unto others..." thing, not the belief though.
And I don't let my cat sleep on the same bed... he decides. Its amazing how much room they can take up....
