Lakes are pretty common place where I live, so I'd have to go with mountains... literally awesome (even though I've only seen Canadian portions of the Rockies...). Mountain lakes can be quite beautiful as well (especially glacial lakes).

Do you prefer summer or winter sports (participating and/or watching)?
