for the first hour I'd probbly bore the poor girl to death
with endless streams of nonsense about astronomy, astrology
and the art of motorcycle maintenance - then we'd dance..
cheek to cheek as Steely Dan played soft and low, in the moonlight..

- later we would dine in the Ritz bar at a back table
wih the lights down low as we gazed out on the night
we'd muse on the subject of life's sweet delights, and laugh..
