I am going to scream

I was having an issue over the last few days on one of my computers where 99% of all male characters suddenly developed Silver Bodies. Did not matter if I were playing Vanilla DS2, Broken World or Adepts. The large and old were not impacted. So most Inn Keepers and Armor Vendors where okay. I removed all the mods from DS2 and the problem went away for Vanilla DS2 but not Broken World or Adepts. I had no mods installed in Broken World so could not remove any mods. Knowing the order of things. DS2 does not read BW or Adepts directories but Broken World uses DS2 Resources and Maps. and Adepts looks at everything. I felt the problem was still with Vanilla DS2. So I reinstalled it, patched it and the problem was still there. So I put back all the mods for DS2 from a backup I had made a few days ago. I always back up my games before messing around with things which I tend to do on a regular basis. The problem is no longer there. I guess one of the mods must have been corrupted, as somethings late at night I will retank something to the wrong place. So I happily started up my saved game that was half way through DS2 and almost to the heirloom quest part two. When I noticed that the Melee, Ranged, Combat Magic and Nature Magic powers I had spent hours up on hours developing in my party where not showing up. Looking into this I found that the pictures of the powers within the specialties menu where missing from their little circles. Not sure where they live within the game, and I have never seen this before in all the years I have been playing the games.
Here is a screen 3 screen shots.

I had that happen to me for the Fist of Stone and Blood Assassin. I had spells improved, monsters improved ,and one i forget. I've had/do have the silver skin happen, I believe Iryan said it was a priority conflict.

Well after reinstalling everything all the power icons where still missing. So I decided to check if I had installed any new mods between the time I discovered the silver people and the missing power icons. It turned out to be DEMothra.ds2res causing the problem. Now I know that darkelf tested the mod and did not have this problem, so I downloaded the DEMothra.ds2res one more time and then checked the file sizes. They where not the same, and the new download does not cause this problem. So I must have got a bad download over my sometimes evil Internet Connection.

As mind-rippingly infuriating as I can imagine such an elusive problem undoubtedly was, I must say, from my perspective...
Kind of funny. Especially seeing that the problem was as simple as a bad download.
Glad it's fixed.

Please release (although with the new xdemothra, she should be ok to leave in party, I hope) and remove DEMothra.ds2res, the powers will indeed disapeer, sorry for ya all's inconvenience! I was working on the Power for the Pet and left a test version of active_skills in there. I have since retanked the mod with a modified active_skills.gas it can be grabbed here - http://www.siegetheday.org/?q=node/3246
In the future I need to retank the mod and make it modular, powers (active_skills.gas) is a global file and should be in a separate tank (ds2res called active_skills.ds2res) that way "other" mods wont be effected in the future and an update of active skills would be all that would be needed updated.
