I wonder why people in Oregon and Washington State think 109 degrees is so hot? The world record is 134 degrees.
The world record for the highest temperature ever officially recorded is 134.0°F (56.7°C). Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley , California holds this crown and achieved this global high on July 10, 1913. The global record temperature is, of course, also the record high for the continent of North America. This year in Death Valley: By mid-afternoon, the temperature at Death Valley, Calif., had reached 121 degrees F on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. The heat index is the thing, after all, 114 and 11% humidity is a LOT nicer then 80 with 75% humidity. And of course, the co9ast of those 2 states is used to mild temps so the people are wimps
