5 April 2011
UberMonsters 2.0- changed broken world monsters from level 38 and 39 to level 40 since one has to beat valdis who is level 40 to play broken world. changed Magrus, Arinth, Boden, Kynos, Wethril and Luun's health, attack and defense. snowbrook haven and windstone fortress mages and rangers are tougher now and these now have some new summons to fight. added Bone Minions to breakable containers.

Seems to me like you are trying to kill my characters with your mods... ^^

Sol that is precisely the idea... a party of 4-6 pretty much rapes the monsters especially when monsters are by them selves. the purpose of ubermonsters is to at least give the monster a fighting chance.. for the character just starting however it may be to hard but since its harder the item drops are usually better.

But I like slaughtering and not be slaughtered. ^^

But then again, things are more fun if they are not too easy to do...

Broken World was probably the first game I've played where a fight could be drawn. I've had a few runs through the Surgeon Dungeons where the party couldn't kill the enemies because they regenerated too fast, but stayed alive and were able to retreat in good order for another try. Eventually a few party members would gain a level or two and break the log-jam, and they'd usually gain those levels re-fighting the mobs between the previous waypoint and the boss, after I'd saved one day and re-started the next.

The Ganths came close, with their ability to take health from party members, but it was normally possible to have a single melee character dance in and out of range while the rest used ranged attacks to wear them down. But the Surgeons spawning minions all the time took that tactic away.

In my opinion, a health-regenerating boss is the hardest challenge, even if it doesn't have the firepower to win.

Heh heh, I love a good fight. I always loved using that 2x mob damage mod for vanilla. Darthrul w/e city was a complete nightmare:P

Too bad im totally distracted from Dungeon anything currently. I never even gave myself a chance to play Broken World. Stinking addictive Elder Scrolls....
