Dungeon Siege's Plot (1, Legends of Aranna, 2, Broken World) - Version Mine

(Disclaimer: This is my take on the plot, 90% of it being from pure memory, mostly with the sole exception of some of the names and a few of the backstory points, such as Merik being killed by ShadowJumper, which is technically open for interpretation in-game.)

A long time ago, before the Empire of Stars, the Utraean ruled Aranna, using their advanced knowledge of magic to create amazing things. But while they were creative technologically advanced things - including a clock that kept time and the elements in balance - they were making huge mistakes. These mistakes caused an entire race of Lizard humanoids becoming their slaves and main enemy, and the creation of a similar race of Feline humanoids, and the eventual fall of their rule.

Some time after, the last of the Utgard giants became the final ruler to the Empire of Stars. With this, the many human legions beneath him begun to join this man's side, but one particular legion, the Tenth Legion, staying loyal to the old regime, withdrew far to the west to start a new kingdom, this becoming the Kingdom of Ehb.

Meanwhile in Aranna, Zaramoth received an invitation to become allies with an ancient alien race by the name of Cinbri, which he happily accepted. The Cinbri created a city deep within the Earth and stayed here, at least until a human by the name of Azunai, who was a part of a nomadic tribe on the edge of the Empire of Stars appeared. Joining alongside Zaramoth's army was the Seck, and an Elven king, which many of them despised him for, withdrawing into a forest to eventually become the Dryads.

Growing up, Azunai would always play by a geiser that he thought was just a normal geiser. As it turns out, this geiser was incidentally imbuing him with pure magic, eventually making him powerful enough to become the leader to a group known as the Azunites.

The Azunites built a powerful shield for their ruler, whereas the Agallan giants - a race of only males (as all of the females had since disappeared after the Agallans became a part of the Aranna continent) built a powerful sword for their ruler, Zaramoth. With this, Azunai and Zaramoth clashed. With a single hit of the sword upon the shield, the shield shattered into four pieces, and caused such an explosion that it destroyed the known world at the time, starting the Second Age. At the same time, a powerful Cinbri, at the time young and naive, accidentally sealed the passage between his world and Aranna, stopping them from escaping, and eventually killing many of them, leaving only five of them left alive on Aranna.

In the Second Age, humans rose to power, the Agallans, regretful of their decision of assisting Zaramoth, withdrew from contacting the other races of Aranna. The Elves, stayed within the area, staying peaceful, as did the Dryads, who were still bitter towards the other races for assisting Zaramoth and destroying the world.
Hundreds of years after the start of the Second Age, the Kingdom of Ehb (who was otherwise untouched by all of this), fell apart when the Staff of Stars - a staff that was held by the Grand Mage, Merik, to hold the ward between their world and the shadow world, which the Seck were from - was taken away by the Goblin leader, the 'Goblin Inventor', unleashing a hoard of Seck upon Ehb. With the kingdom having fallen to pieces, a humble farmer rose to the occasion, gathering up people she met along the way to defeat the Seck and save the kingdom. Along the way, Merik joined her side, eventually accomplishing their goal and forever killing the Seck.

Not longer after, Merik was ready to retire and hand the Staff of Stars, but unfortunately for Aranna, the Utraeans still hadn't learned the lesson. Foolishly playing with their superior magic abilities, the Utraeans had accidentally opened a portal the shadow realm to unleash a being called ShadowJumper who would kill Merik and steal the Staff of Stars, releasing some of his followers onto Ehb, and conquering the aforementioned tower, The Clocktower. controlling time and the weather from this point.

As things fell apart, in a distant mountain village, an ice giant gathered Yeti and begun to conquer the foodstorages of this small village. The people of Arhok (which is the name of the village) turned to the son of their towns heroes, who gladly took up the task to help his beloved home. Once returning, he learned that the Staff of Stars had been stolen by the ShadowJumper, and from then on, set on his journey to recover it, meeting people who, eventually, helped him to recover it.

Finally things were peaceful on the continent of Aranna, at least until a Human prince fell ill. This human, Valdis, begun to have visions of a mountain named "Zaramoth's Horns", which is where the battle that started the Second Age had ended, and were Zaramoth's sword now lay. In the next thirty years, Valdis slowly become a tyrant as one of the few surviving Cinbri convinced him that he was Zaramoth Reborn.

Meanwhile, this Cinbri, disguising himself as an Azunite scholar, approached a mercenary whom Valdis had betrayed, knowing this man to be a real descendant of Azunai, having him reforge the Shield of Azunai. With the shield reforged, he had Valdis break Zaramoth's sword upon it. creating the Second Cataclysm, and with that the Third Age. No longer needing Valdis, he revealed himself to the mercenary, admitting himself to be the Overmage, the strongest and currently only Cinbri on Aranna.

With the defeat of Valdis, the mercenary and accidental anti-hero of the Second Age, begun to travel the world in search of the Overmage. While he was searching for him, the first male Dryad mysteriously appeared, and begun to act as the new leader, but as the mercenary would soon discover; his true identity was the Overmage. Before finally defeating the Overmage, the mercenary discovered that all the Overmage really wanted was to recover his race, and have them live in their now empty city so that he could fix the mistake he made all those years ago.

To do this, he would gather a shard of the shattered Zaramoth sword and infuse his soul with a fragment of Zaramoth, in effect making himself the true Zaramoth Reborn. But as fate would have it, the mercenary defeated the Overmage, stopping his fairly innocent plan of returning the Cinbri to Aranna and to their former glory.

If anyone wants, I can add Throne of Agony, 3 and Treasures of the Lost Sun.
