So I was reading (in the docs for the single-player Utraeun Peninsula mod) about how one could take the same character (or the entire party) and re-use them to play through again. To make this more interesting, two plugins are included that change the difficulty to get the effect of the Veteran and Elite (or whatever they are called) modes available in multiplayer.

I couldn't import a plain Dungeon Siege character. Too bad, as that was my favorite character.

So I've had Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna for a while, though still less than a year. I've always started at Normal difficulty and then soon ended up having to go to Easy mode. A lot of getting killed and reloading and some use of the cheat codes.

Playing around eventually I noticed that leveling happens slower at easy mode, which makes thigns harder.

I say, this is rather good..!! :woot:

- plays like a cross between Baldur's Gate, Silverfall and DS2BW

I'm not sure if this would be in the forums as mod development or the ds1 gameplay area, since it discusses a mod ... but not the development of a mod. So, it's a blog.

I managed to get the lazarus ultima 5 remake for dungeon siege 1. The installer ran without problems. However, I have some questions.

Can this be made to run at higher resolutions, especially non 4:3 resolutions? I've got DS1/Aranna running at 1400x900 without problems, but the ultima thing wants to run at 1024x768 at most, so everything is squashed down.

Just so it doesn't get lost, I've put a copy of the Halloween Special Late Late Show version 1.4 into the downloads section here. Although Charietto and I never finished it, we always left it in a "complete" state at each release with the intent of adding another area later. It looks like Freddy Krueger will never show up at the ballroom, but the rest is quite playable, especially if you're familiar with the Forge crowd. It's still fun to play for a Horror Movie fan.

I recently got dungeon siege. It's a fun game, surprisingly addictive, in a good way. While no longer state-of-the-art, the graphics are rather pretty, the landscapes nicely done. I've played the first compaign and also Legends of Aranna.

I am interested in obtaining more content (siegelets?) for the game and also, possibly, in making new content for the game.
