Original Lyssa She looks sort of weird to me....I think I look something like this when I have just woken up after sleeping for 15 hours...then crying for an hour...plus have the flu...and have caterpillars instead of eyebrows. Lyssa almost has Donald Trump eyebrows and that's just wrong. Her nose looks strange and she has a blotch on her forehead. Boy, am I critical or what?
Extra Crispy Lyssa Now she looks a bit better, but she has a pretty peeved look to her. I was trying to get her eyebrows to look like actual eyebrows, but now she just looks like she has a stick up her butt. But given the dialogue she speaks, in my imagination she is the type of person who does seem like she would have a stick up her butt anyway, so I am kind of happy with her look.

It's very good possible that they based the look of Lyssa based on a real person, websites such as this oneoffer a lot of reference images for 3d artists to use, you need to pay for almost everything on that site but they have a few free images, such as this face. That site contains images of naked people sitting and standing so if you are offended by that you should not visit it...

They may well have based her on a real person, but look at her original ingame screenshots. I think the thing that struck me was the blotch on her forehead and also if you look closely, there is a weird white line on her nose. That looks to me as if they had pasted her face in over another one and didn't take a lot of time with it. I notice little details about faces I guess.
This is her original unaltered texture..all around the hairline looks sloppy, her forehead and upper cheek area don't match her lower cheeks...it just looks unfinished to me. The caterpiller eyebrows are just a personal pet peeve of mine, many real people have biushy eyebrows. They could have made her with bushy eyebrows, and still have taken more care with this texture than they evidently did. I am not a graphic artist...but I have studied art, my mother was an artist and I do know a thing or two. To be perfectly honest, the original texture looked sloppily done and that is what made me want to do something with it. NOT that my results are any good, but I did sit there and blend lines on her nose and cheeks so she doesn't have a line of demarcation from having a texture being pasted on top of another.
But to be fair, the only way to really see into a character's face like that is by having a mod in place to change the viewing angle. When I first played LoA without mods, I never noticed her face because you can never see into a face like that so closely. Really, you only get a vague impression of what a character looks like from what you can see with restrictive camera angles, plus a small portrait. I had never known before that Naidi was apparently about 65 years old originally....judging by all the wrinkles on her face. I mean, I am no spring chicken, but I don't have any wrinkles at all, except a couple of small lines under my eyes that I think people have normally anyway.
Thanks for the link, Firebat, I downloaded the free face to experiment with. I think you already know the only nudity that bothers me is little kids, I don't care one bit if adults are nude.

Heh, she does have kind of a vacant look on her face, doesn't she? I don't think anybody is home....:D
Oh and yea, she loses her bow, her brother has it. But she is supposed to be a bowyer or ranger or whatever. How does someone who apparently makes their living by their bow *lose* it? Wouldn't she keep it with her all the time? Silly Lyssa, too much Ecstasy I guess.

heres what i think happened to Lyssa.
untold short story of Lyssa...
since this is a fantasy world, we go back in time of age of medieval time, when vampires lived among us...
Lyssa was fighting evil one day, when a bunch of vampire bats appeared, she was killing lot of them with arrows through there hearts. But there were so many, that one vampire bat, came up behind, changed into a vampire and was able to bite her neck. thus she became cursed by that vampire and face grew pale and long.
thus she looks the way she does,
as time went on Lyssa kept fighting until one day the same vampire appeared and was able to bite her again, she grew fangs and became a vampire, only to be slayed later by a hero. Her bow was kept in a ancient crypt, only to be later stolen by Hak'u in Aranna, so then it appears in DS2...
So it has been written, and so it shall cometh to pass! Quothe The Darkelf, forevermore!
