Never tried attacking Scorch under LoA rules but don't see why that should be any harder than under vanilla DS1, where all it takes is one archer and nearly forever (since Scorch cannot regain health and cannot pursue if archer retreats for a time out). But to speed things up - more attackers, and no let-up - I've always relied on healing power from a party where nearly everybody has some magic as tertiary skill if not secondary. Those with more mana than skill doing Mana Channel to refuel the main healers. One neat trick - Healing Wind's radius of influence adds to its range of casting, so Merik a safe 20m (say) from Scorch can cast on an archer just far enough forward for the wind to reach and benefit melee attackers.

the healing wind is working very good, I am using a 2 healer system..but I had all mages and 2 bows, wasn't doing enough damage so may have to switch out a few mages for melee next try. thanks for the advice, the healer made a big difference I just gotta get the right combination and Scorch will go down next time.
