Dwarven Lass, Updated.

New version of the dwarfgirl mod-updated: I decided to eliminate the default shirts for dwarfgirl from the global shirts file and replace them with all custom shirts. The default ones were kind of blah. If you don't update the mod, those shirts will still work as they are stock DS itmes. If you do update, be sure to remove the old version of the mod. I also added some spells and a bow for her to use. The spells include zap, healinghands, fireshot and transmute, as well as custom combat versions of healing hands, transmute and healing wind. I also created custom icons for those spells. I added this stuff because some maps don't have access to spells or other stuff for quite some time, and I dislike having to rely on random drops. I ran around Realm of Kings with a melee weapon, since I didn't have any spells besides healing hands. I'm not really a melee kind of person.
After not modding for a long time, I feel like doing more stuff...it's kind of addicting. http://www.filedropper.com/dwarfgirlv30 Additional starting outfits: New starting inventory items: blogs: |

Hi Kathy,
Right now Dee Worf, Clarinda and Mr. Dubster are exploring Talonsworld_v1.3. I have included Girl Armor V6a for a larger selection of Armor. I like the changes you added to the mod. The spells are very useful as is the bow. Also as you said the base DS1 armor is really not for a girl The armor in the image below is from Girl Armor.
Nice so far. But this guy is a little befuddled as I keep getting exception errors with revived
such a state of confusion is normal for me tho :silly:
I am using Girl Armor 5 as that's the one I have
I have noted that without revived, Dwarfgirl 2 is more in sync when hitting breakables with melee.
Hey sigofmugmort, hey elfy, glad you guys like the mod.
I had a chunk of time today so I did some testing re: revived issues. I haven't played with out either version of Revived for, like, ten years. I did not notice any issues particularly while testing, except the ones I've already mentioned. No exception errors with either version of Revived.
What version of Revived are you playing with, and do you have the correct Ikkoyo dsdll in the root folder? Sorry, but I felt I should ask, not trying to be rude.
One thing that was kind of a pain in the butt is DG freezes up with various weapons. This was particularly noticeable with melee weapons (but she sure could swing that pitchfork). Every time I switched out a weapon, she froze until I moved her. When I switched to ranged, she froze. Strangely enough I could switch between bows with no problems. *shrug* In either instance, I could switch from using a weapon to using a spell with no issues at all.
I tested this on Kingdom of Ehb for base DS1, and noticed all the above issues both with *and* without Revived. Plus, when she is under attack, it takes her a second to notice the enemy, like she stands there all LALALA. BTW, Have you guys noticed the opening sequence in KoE? She can't hoe, and when she runs over to Norick instead of dropping to his side, she does two drinking animations. Too funny. Hey sorry and all, Norick, but I gots to chug my beer.
When I played Ehb with the LOA executable, I noticed the same freezing issues as well. One thing I did notice is she was a lot more engaged with the enemies. No standing there, she was running to attack all on her own. I had the same combat orders in base DS as I did with LOA, so I don't know what that was about.
I did this testing without having either Revived LOA or the Ikkoyo-loa-dsdll in the root DS folder.
Problems specific to Revived:
She can't wear the special OC helms. At all. It doesn't cause an error, the item drops back into her inventory. I tried working with helm meshes the other day, (cuz pigtails) and had no luck with OC helms or ribbons. I tried using various weapons both with Revived and sot3kwp3. I didn't notice any issues with her using the items, even though I don't know if she has updated weapon animations specific to Revived. Apparently, meshes and animations are beyond my abilities.
Because most every post I make comes with screenshots, here they are.
Using the Revived Daikatna:
The various weapons I used. The ones at the bottom of the inventory are all Revived weapons. As mentioned she didn't seem to have any problems using them.
The Revived right and left handed katars.
Revived Electrode rifle
Equipping sot3kwp3 weapons/shield
And just for fun, playing with some chickens. They are so mean!
BTW, most of the Basic DS1/LOA helms leave a LOT to be desired... I really want those ribbons and wigs from DS Revived.
Just noticed "Mr Dubster" lol. I think I only have girl armor 5.
Kathy what priority did you give your mod? Some of the oddities like freezing when revived is installed could be that the revived animations are taking priority over the ones given to the dwarf girl. You might try re-tanking your mod at the maximum priority which is 35767. This will force the animations given to dwarf girl to take priority over revived. Also since the Dwarf Girl is just the DS1 male dwarf with a female head this could be causing the issues with hair ribbons and such. In her template:
I would first try changing the priority such that it is higher than revived. Check to see if this fixes the freezing issues. If it does not help it is not necessary to change it back, just leave it. Then try changing is_male = false; to is_female = true; as this might allow the hair ribbons to work. If it does not then do change it back. you can modify the template as follows: // before the line is_male = false; then add on the next line is_female = true; as the // removes the item from being active in the template.
It appears re-tanking the mod at a higher priority prevents the dwarf girl from freezing at least in Talon's World (without revived) when playing from DS1. We are deeper into the map and have picked up a 4th party member Pier Angelini.
Kathy I uploaded Dwarf Girl 3.0 into the DS1 Download Section. As I said in my pm to you it took much less time for me to do it than it would have explaining how to do it with the site not working properly. Here is the link for those of you to lazy or confused to search the DS1 Download area :P

Thanks for taking the time to think about this I am going to take your suggestion with the female1: thingy, but I think your suggestion of contacting Dan would probably work, (Ha, if he doesn't mind doing me a solid ) because I guess the meshes just aren't there for Dwarfgirl, even though she uses Farmgirl's head mesh.
Despite the helm issue, I found ( at least in my testing ) that Dwarfgirl is completely compatible with both versions of DS Revived. I'm not sure what would cause folks to have exception errors or what not.
I will try re tanking the DG mod with a higher priority and see if it helps freezing , but in my opinion, the freezing isn't that big a deal. It only seems to happen with melee weapons and it's just mildly annoying, so I just move her a little and she unfreezes.
As to what I did the other day: copying and renaming the meshes did not work, as I long-windily point out below. Hey, I'm verbose, what can I say. Thank you very much for being patient with me.
As far as the base templates for the wig, they are specifically created for Farmgirl. The female only part is not specified, I believe that is a consequence of making it require Farmgirl.
When I fiddled around with OC's templates and stuff, I copied and renamed the ribbon and helm meshes, in addition to OC's other helm, like "Athena" or "Spikey" helms. I put the "general" helm meshes from:
revived loa dsres\art\meshes\armor\helmets to
dwarfgirl dsres\art\meshes\armor\helmets
This included the wig and ribbon, as well as the other OC helms.
Then I went into farmgirl's helm mesh folder and copied them into dwarfgirl's helm mesh folder, renaming them from "m_c_gah_fg_hlmt_whatever" to "m_c_gan_gd_hlmt_whatever". I changed the templates from this:
And them I had them require
"equip_requirements = dwarfgirl:1;" (instead of)
"equip_requirements = farmgirl:1;".
When I tested this in game, the ribbons no longer said female only, but they were still red, and unable to be equipped. Gah!
I was just doing some more testing and basically fooling around and decided to see what would happen if I tried making a dwarfgirl with Adepts, using Legends of Utrae. I removed the loa cat glasses and the adept glasses as I remember Elfy making a comment about weird glove textures with dwarfgirl.
So, it works. You can create a dwarfgirl using Adepts and there was a full selection of hair, skin and clothing textures. However, it limited Catgirl and Catboy to default starting clothing. One problem that makes doing this probably not worthwhile is that both Letitia and Gareth refused to join the party. So, who knows who else would decline my fabulous dwarfgirl?! At least Mia likes her...
Limited clothing, but it isn't like you are going to make 2 characters at once.
Here is Mia and I hanging out:
Dwarfgirl is TEENY!
Heads, hair, etc need other gas files updated. See my head tutorial at the bottom of the page. This situation is the opposite of that, you're adding existing heads to new characters, rather than new heads to existing characters, but the same lists apply.
If you don't, she's restricted to the original head in the base model, which apparently is only listed so you can swap back to it. They all work by swapping the partial mesh defined as "head", whether they're hairstyles or helmets (or both). DS2 added ornaments which can go anywhere, so it's possible to add extra hairpieces that way, too.
Okay, thanks for that ghastley. I'll start working on that and see what happens.
I'm gonna have to start a dwarf girl, my dragon age dwarf princess comes to mind, with the soul reaver mod... anticipating greatness.
Cool, I hope you like her. The only thing I don't like about her is the running animation, but that's dwarf guy's fault I guess. Otherwise I think she is pretty sweet. I'm glad Dan had the idea to make her.
Here is my short lived Dragon Age Dwarf girl rogue. My character is the good looking one... NOT the dude with the beard. Or the other dude. Tolkien said there was little difference between male and female dwarves, but I think that's a load of , erm, *something*.
Why the Hairy feet in DS1? That's a Halfling thing :?
When I add Cutie girl 2 after starring a Dwarfgirl I get this
 And I forget how I fixed this last time.
note: The attack animation that is out of sync has the greatest difference with bladed weapons, particularly the Knife and is most in sync with a Mace.
now I just need to find the new hair ribbons
Those hairy feet are for sure a halfling/hobbit thing. When I was playing Lord of the Rings online, I made sure my little hobbit hunter (Bobby underhill) had the hairiest feet and was as pudgy as possible. He was so cute, like a little chunky, hairy toddler.
Anyway, as to your problem label in the screenshot. I'm not sure what is causing that. I'm sorry I can't offer much help. Are you running Revived LOA with Cutiegirl? I know PhoeniX incorporated a lot of content from revived into the cutie girl mod. Maybe there is a conflict or something?
I had the same sort of issue when playing Adepts with Revived LOA.
I tried to replicate your problem several times, with cutiegirl, without cutiegirl, with revived loa, without revived loa. I did not experience the same sort of error. Maybe it has something to do with other mods we are running?
My dwarfgirl created before Cutiegirl was installed:
Loading the game after Cutiegirl is installed:
Using the +party function that comes with Witness's Dark/Light elves mod:
Cutie Sikra joins the party:
Hanging in Arhok:
As far as feet go, I noticed that myself too. Her feet change color along with her hair color and it is an issue with the model itself.
Well, at least she matches.
Base Dungeon Siege textures have a similar skank foot deal going on.

One of the textures I did for Dwarfgirl:
I was doing some testing with and without cutiegirl in Kingdom of Ehb and had to watch this again. I have a weird sense of humor.
