Rivers of London

I have started reading this series of books by British author Ben Aaronovitch. He also wrote episodes of "Dr Who" in the 1980s - 1990s era and quite a lot of other material.

I left off reading the series back in January but recently got the next couple of books in the series. The next one up is The Furthest Station. Now, here is the thing that makes me so angry. None of the libraries in the six networks I belong to have a digital copy of that book. They have the ones earlier in the series and later but not that book. Why?

So many libraries do this. "Ah, I see we have books one and three of the My headache, Your Headache trilogy. Yeah, we don't need book two. Let them suffer!" I'll have to see if my town library has a physical copy but then that's a whole 'nother can of worms. Stupid covid.

Anyway, the reason this is so annoying is I want to continue reading these books. It's a good series and I recommend it if you like a combination of urban fantasy, mystery, scary and humor. There is also a series of graphic novels. Provided you can find any of them.

PS Aaronovitch had me at his first "I've got a cunning plan".

PPS My headache is worse than your headache. Literally. My head is fricking pounding right now.
