I haven't played Dungeon Siege since November last year when I took Forrester, my green bearded dwarf, out for a spin. Well I finally sat down, in a new comfy chair btw, and played for 90 min. Me and Forrester are still in the first chapter but we thought taking care of the gargantuan beast would be fun so that is what we did.

Here's Tea a donkey that we bought. Her name isn't pronounced like the beverage btw since it is actually Finnish.

This is the type 9 armor introduced in LoA. This is the chitterskrag stuff, and/or the utrean plate. It is by far the ugliest stuff I have seen.

Maybe not appropriate for a Holiday card, but sort of festive nonetheless. It is pretty convenient that the Catmansion girls and the Dark/Light elves both have Christmas outfits.

I just finished reading the Broken World story on http://www.dungeonsiege.com/. This game is really dark..

The authorship behind the story isn't the best I have ever encountered but it is good enough for me to feel quite uneasy after reading it. I will henceforth bash those familiars with greater motivation.

Although this is coming after a bit of a delay, I am hoping that can be overlooked. Through the kindess of 2k Games, our favorite admin, the other StheD site staff and the machinations of a few others (YOU know who you are...*wink*); anyway, I have recived a copy of Broken World all for my little self. A big THANK YOU to all involved.

One has the choice of choosing a pre-made character, or converting a saved character from DS2. (the minimum level for an entry into BW is 39) I chose Sascha the ranger. After character creation you see a short introductory movie sequence...I have seen a few of those from older games and maybe I am too much of a n00b...But wow! It was so cool to see characters actually talking instead of dialog being "spoken" with oddly shut mouths. I guess there are some Gandalf looking wizards you can't trust.

I decided to give Forrester some nice equipment and take him for a spin.
Will have to customize that look a bit but he looks very sharp so far.

Started a new multiplayer game with firebat.
I play a FoS with dual-wield and he a BA with throwing weapons.

Don't we look perty?

I made sure to match my armor to my hair. ^_^
