Parei do what now?

Pareidolia.

I know we have all experienced this. It's an interesting phenomenon that happens to me a lot, (there is a fox that lives on my bathroom floor) but I never knew the name of it.

Decal display problem in Siege Editor

I have this problem when using the DS2 siege editor (haven't tried DS1 yet).
The decals show through the nodes, walls are invisible where they showing through. When you zoom in close, everything is ok. I have Windows 10 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 graphics card. I've tried a few things to fix it, but no luck. Any ideas?

[Added observation] In my post "For NVIDIA Graphics card users" I related a problem I had with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 graphics card. This problem likely has to do with that card as well.

Dungeon Siege 1.25 Mod AKA Quarter Mod

What is the Quarter Mod?

To simplify the Quarter Mod would be a mod that'd add some functionality and features that Dungeon Siege II introduced - such as the character ring that shows your current state, or the color changing name over your head - into Dungeon Siege 1.

To the best of my understandings, it'd be relatively easy, but I could use some help and suggestions. All you have to do is point me towards the right files and lines of code so that I can replace/change/add them accordingly to overall improve Dungeon Siege 1.

Run DS1 and 2 Mod Execs without the CD

I usually run DS and DS2 with the Mod execs. You need the CD to run the Mod exec.s. *** (Not True)*** The problem here is if your CD's are old, a bit scratched, and well used, you really want just put them away in a secure place and not have to use them anymore.
So what I did, in order to preserve the discs was to make ISO Copys. If you make it right, the ISO Copy will be excepted by the game, just as if you are using the CD.

For NVIDIA Graphics card users

When I installed DS2 on my new Windows 10 machine, with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 graphics card, I found that the Nvdia Control Panel (where you set Anistropic filtering, etc.) did not work properly. It did a great job with the characters and objects, but did not recognize the terrain (nodes). It looked God awful. I did some research and found the Nvidia Profile Inspector.

How to make the Hud disappear in Dungeon Siege 1 and 2

Jeez.... I shure am doing a lot of posts all in a row here. Looks like I'm living up to my handle, Garthagain. I hope you are finding these posts helpful, or at the very least, entertaining.

How to make the Hud disappear in Dungeon Siege 1 and 2

To do this you have to use the Mod Exec. It doesn't work with the regular Exec.
1. Open the console with the tilde key.
2. Type in " bool gui "
3. Press enter
4. Exit the console.
