Never modded a game having as much fun as with DSII

So I never found another game to mod to replace DSII after all these years. This game is a classic in my books. It's underappreciated and fun to mod. I shouldn't worry about how old a game is for modding. However, my priority now is front-end development since I need to make much more money to pay off student loans.

Anyone Interested in Seeing This 1H Axe in DS2?

I've been thinking about creating a mod that adds new items. This is w_elem_axe_thethrall from Team Elemental. I'm wondering if anyone is interested in seeing this model and texture in DS2.

Plans

I'm going to give starting a map from scratch another go. I've failed to complete them many times. Hopefully I'll have something released. I plan to do pre-releases as I go due to the the high failure rate. They can be edited or picked up by other modders. I decided to do this since I'm bored with the DS2 map and its design.

Notes

State resistances from DS2's components.gas. I want to give monsters a buff, because players will also be given a buff. They should be immune to certain states such as freeze to make them more challenging. Creatures in cold biomes should be immune to freeze with cold resistance. Mini bosses generally should have lots of state resistances and resistances. There are probably more state resistances in DS2 BW that I need to check.

{
freeze = 0.5; // Resistance to anything that freezes the actor in place. ( Ice themed )

Dungeon Siege 2 Effect States

Edit: Please note that I could be wrong, since I know of know GPG documentation on gas files (the ones you find in the bitmaps folder) that manipulate textures. I also want to clarify that I'm talking about the gas files you find in the bitmaps folder. It's is also important for understanding how to make your own SFXs, since they use the gas files we find in the bitmap folder extensively. Perhaps a gas file texture manipulation is needed that doesn't already exist. Shaders are also important for understanding how to create new SFXs. The terms used are also used frequently in DS2 SFX.

Infinite Summons

I was just messing around and figured out how to get infinite summons in DS2. I broke the code though. You can cast as many times as you want or can. No error messages from DS2Mod. It can be localized to particular summons as well. I might have some monsters do this. What I really want is a few more summons.

Equipped Swords Can't Glow :(

I've been trying to make a glowing sword for awhile. Theoretically it should have worked the first time I did it, but I thought I made an error. I tested glow on a lemon tree and two different types of DS1 Drakes, and they worked. Then I thought to try throwing the sword on the ground to see if it would glow. Oddly it glowed while on the ground but not equipped! I'm not sure why the glow shader doesn't work while the sword is equipped. Anyone have any ideas?

Here is the sword:
